Educational Institute In Ghana
Primary and Junior Secondary education in public schools in Ghana is tuition-free under the constitutionally guaranteed directive policy for Free Compulsory Universal Basic Education. Pupils begin their 2-years of Kindergarten education at the age of four years and continue with a 6-year primary education. Under the educational reforms implemented in 1987, students then go through a three-year Junior High School System which prepares them to sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) at the end of the 3rd year. The next level of education is a 4-year Senior High School program or a vocational training programme. Entrance to Tertiary Institutions is by examination following the completion of Senior High School.
